  • Originally from Brazil, Dr Minelle Silva obtained a Doctorate in Management Science, specialising in Sustainability Management, in 2015, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Prior to joining La Rochelle Business School, Excelia Group, in 2019, as Associate Professor in Supply Chain Sustainability, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Fortaleza, where he supervised Master and Doctoral theses, and was also Vice Leader of the Sustainability and Strategy Research Group. An expert in Supply Chain Management, in addition to his field of expertise in Sustainable Development, he teaches Purchasing Management and Responsible Purchasing. He continues to supervise postgraduate theses. Dr Silva's research activities and interests focus on Sustainability in Supply Chain Management, Stakeholder Commitment and Sustainable Purchasing. He is the author of more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, including the Journal of Cleaner Production and the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management. He also acts as a reviewer for several academic journals. Furthermore, he is Chairman in sustainable operations and sustainable innovation for two Brazilian conferences.
